1-Training on Children's Rights and Trafficking

Provides training and workshop on how to protect and prevent children’s rights on sexual commercial exploitation of children, the law on suppression of kidnapping and trafficking of human persons to local authorities, parents, school children, and law enforcement concerned. Create the basic network for promotion and protection. All participants are the main key persons to disseminate these to the public awareness through contribution of leaflet, posters and brochures to people in community. During the awareness raising CCPCR conducted the research for children at risk,sexually abused and sexually exploited and gave an advice to parents and children themselves. Children at risk or victims will be received to stay in shelter accordant with the caretaker and local authority agreement.

2-Investigation and Rescue

Investigation and rescure of children from brothels or any locations where young children are kept for the sexual puropoises and to find the legal assistance for victims in filling complains to the court audience and follow up the offender will be sentenced and whether the case is legally done or not. Provide a lawyer to the victims and play in role as the victim’s care taker.

3- Recovery and Rehabilitation

CCPCR has four shelters: Phnom Penh, Svay Rieng, Sihanouk ville and Takeo province. To establish the Rehabilitation/Recovery shelter for protection of children from 3-6-9 months, or 1 year according to the real situation or cases needed.

4-Accommodation, food and Medical care

In addition to the above assistance and support the center provides additional services to the rescued children such as:
  • Psychological counseling and morality teaching
  • Training skills on sewing, waving, knitting handbag, and hair dressing
  • Non-formal education ( literacy) or basic education.

5-Re-integration and Follow up

After staying for a while in the rehabilitation and vocational training shelter, children have been reintegrated to families in community by a group of reintegration staff, with reconciliation between the caretaker and children which cooperated with Ministry of Social affairs, labor, youth rehabilitation. Some children were sent to work in different garment factories. Others are able to live with other NGOs service for children or foster parents who love and find a job for them. CCPCR provides a revolving fund to children reintegrated to start their business and will pay back to CCPCR after theyare able to find income. While for the foreigner children, CCPCR cooperated with embassy , IOM and Ministry of MOSALVY to reunite them to their home village.


Protecting the Children's Rights

The children needs special law protection. In the photos below CCPCR has rescued many children including women from the brothels in Phnom Penh and other provinces in Cambodia. This mission was conducted with support and collaboration from the government authority and law enforcement groups in Cambodia.
